Tango. Milongas.

  Practica Cochabamba 444

Thursdays Class 21hs. Milonga 23hs.

Eighteen years ago the nights of San Telmo came alive at Club General Belgrano, with its "Cochabamba Practice Sessions" which is the popular name that was given to these traditional sessions which take place on the street after which they were named. It is considered one of the first, if not the first, open practice sessions, which is still characterized by the the fact that there is no admission fee, they have a pay-what-you-wish policy. The first professor was the legendary "Pepito" Avellaneda, subsequent professors include the late Efraín Ordoñez and then Gustavo Naveira with Olga Bessio and Mingo Pugliese with Esther. The club continues to operate as an old traditional local club: bar service is provided by members of the club's Management Committee, who cook homemade-style food. The tables are large and strangers sometimes meet while sharing them. Note: There is no admission fee; the establishment has a pay-as-you-wish policy.
